Interesting fact about the institution: No focus on FPS games.

EA (Electronic Arts)
Background: Formed in 1982
Owner/founder: Trip Hawkins
Most successful games: Battlefield 3, Fifa 13, The sims
Interesting fact about the institution: EA made $3.8 billion in 2013.

Zynga
Background: Formed in 2007
Owner/founder: Mark Pincus
Most successful games: Farmville, Mafia Wars.
Interesting fact about the institution: Lost 63% of players in the last year.

Nintendo
Background: Formed in 1889

Interesting fact about the institution: Mario is the most sold game of all time, reaching 470 million copies.

Interesting fact about the institution: Same company responsible for the consoles made by Sony.

  3. In your opinion, what is the most creative campaign on their website? Heineken Human Equalizer.

  5. What additional information can you find out about the FIFA14 advertising campaign? They were in partnership with Powerrade.

  1. How long has the Rokkan advertising agency been around for? 14 years.
  2. Where is Rokkan based? New Jersey.
  3. What brands have Rokkan advertised? American Express and Sharp.
  4. Why was Rokkan's campaign for the videogame 'Dishonored' so successful? A successful cinematic trailer.
  5. Who was the publisher for 'Dishonored'? Bethesda Softworks. 


Task 3: Regulatory bodies



What is PEGI and where is PEGI based?
Pegi is based in Europe, Canada and Israel.
How does PEGI rate games?
Pegi rates game on how much blood, gore, language and sexual content it has, also on how appropriate it is for a certain age. Difficulty does not apply to the pegi rating system.

What are the age classifications used by PEGI?
3, 7, 12, 16, 18

What are the seven aspects that PEGI look for when giving a game a rating (e.g. violence)?
Violence, bad language, fear/horror, sex, drugs, gambling, discrimination and online.

What is PEGI online? What does PEGI online regulate? PEGI is a video game regulator that regulates games and gives them an age rating.

All media is legal, decent and honest.
What are the ASA's values?
Consistent, reliable and fair.
